Reconciliation

Our Commitment to Reconciliation

Our vision for reconciliation is an Australia that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians. Where there is a historical acceptance of our shared history and removal of negative race relations. Where all Australians embrace the Elders past, present and future for the strengths and wisdom that they bring to our Nation’s future.

At DVAC we respect the cultural strength, knowledge, and richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We embrace diversity and we are committed to working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations, and communities. To all Aboriginal women, your families, and communities we acknowledge your right to self-determination, and we will stand beside you.

We are excited to be embracing our Reflect RAP and to use our RAP to develop goals, to learn and grow and support us to achieve our vision for Reconciliation.
